Top 5 Tips for a MAGICAL Disney World Vacation

If there’s one place that seems to get everything right, it’s Disney.  There’s no detail they haven’t thought to make available for their customer experience.  From accommodations at every budget level to prepaid meal plans to an array of park and amusement experiences to the ease of the magicband, the attention to detail given to enhance your experience is second to none!  To be honest, it can all be a bit overwhelming if you don’t have a plan going into it.  So, here are my top 5 tips for getting the most out of your Disney experience.Tip number five is to download the My Disney Experience App when you make your reservations and link the two.  This app serves as your map identifying where all of the attractions, character experiences, dining, restrooms, entertainment, events, PhotoPass, basically EVERYTHING is located in the park. It also lets you see wait times of all the attractions in real time!  That really came in handy for us because we were able to plan which rides and attractions we would do between fast passes based on wait times.  That aspect alone really helped us to maximize our days.  In addition to that feature you also use it make your Fast Pass plans and adjustments.  You ABSOLUTELY must take advantage of this tool to get the most out of your experience.Tip number four is to invest in the Memory Maker. There’s usually one family member that isn’t in most of the vacation photo’s …because they’re behind the camera!  The Memory Maker allows you to take pictures at any PhotoPass+ station throughout the parks with Disney professional photographers as well as character dining experiences and ride and attraction photos and get ALL of the digital copies for about $170!  I mean, talk about money well spent!  And you don’t have to just take one photo at each station; you can get as many as you like!  My girls got makeovers at the Bippity Boppity Boutique to celebrate their birthdays and afterwards had a whole photo shoot, and every single picture was on the memory maker!  So, to make the absolute most of your Disney vacation memories, the Memory Maker is well worth the money!

My number three tip is to stay at least six days.  There are far too many things to see and do and experience to shortchange your trip by only getting one day park tickets, even with a Hopper. And the more days you add the better the deal.  If you plan it far enough in advance, it doesn’t have to break the bank.Tip number two is to get a meal plan!  I can’t express to you enough how nice the all-inclusive experience is and getting the meal plan gives your trip that feel. There are different types of plans ranging from basic to basically your choice!  And, oh my, are there a lot of choices!  A couple of my favorites are Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom, which is considered a quick service meal and Le Cellier, a five star steakhouse in Epcot.  It really does give your trip a magical feeling to be able to just walk up to a restaurant and eat WITHOUT thinking about how much money you’re going to spend each time!

And finally, my number one tip for a magical Disney vacation is to stay on property!  I know, I know…you can get such an amazing deal by doing a timeshare presentation or at a nearby hotel!  But, I promise you staying at one of the Disney properties makes your trip so much more magical than just trying to piece it together.  Once you park your car, you literally never have to move it again until it’s time to check out.  And, if you’re coming right from the airport, the Disney Magical Express will transport you there and back at no additional cost to you.  There are also shuttles that run all day to take you back and forth from your resort to all of the parks as well as Disney Springs.  In addition to these fabulous perks, there are also extra magic hours at one park every day so that resort guest can enjoy the parks without so much of the crowd either before the park officially opens or after it officially closes.  Staying at Disney just takes all the guess work out if it.  And again, they have accommodations at just about every budget level!  So, definitely get the absolute most out of your Disney trip by staying at any one of their wonderful resorts…you won’t regret it!And, there you have it.  These are my top five tips to ensure a magical Disney experience!  Do you have any tips to add to these?  Please comment below!

Until next time,
