So…as you all know, I went to London to celebrate my twenty-six-again birthday by going to the On the Run II concert! That was dope! I decided to stay at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park for a couple of reasons. First, Marriott is one of my favorite brands and they usually have a very generous travel agent rate. Second, this hotel was the closest to the center of town that was offering a travel agent rate. Turns out, it was a great choice. I was very pleased with the facility! The lobby had a very modern feel with warm colors that made it very chic. There was plenty of seating if you needed to wait for a cab or Uber or were waiting to check in. It also smelled very nice. I was told it was the Marriott fragrance; it reminded me of Votivo candles red currant scent. My room was ready so I was able to do an early check-in which was great because I needed a nap since I flew in in a middle seat. I was greeted by a very tastefully decorated cozy room not, not too big but very attractive.
With the same neutral tones echoed from the lobby, the rooms had a very modern chic look as well. The bold pops of orange were a great touch. I loved the orange, wire elephant sculpture on top of the shelf. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony was a plus as well. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. The shower was amazing! This hotel has the Italian restaurant Carluccio’s in the lobby and it was amazing! The first dish I tried, spaghetti carbonara, was the most amazing thing I have ever put in my mouth! I ate this dish numerous times. The staff was friendly and there were many menu items to choose from. They served breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The London Marriott Hotel Regents Park is a family friendly hotel that is located in the heart of Northwest London. It’s walking distance from the famous Regents Park as well as the Swiss Cottage Underground station on the Jubilee Line. Some of the additional amenities include a fitness club, heated pool, and a beauty salon. You can also get a complimentary shoeshine! It’s about an hour Underground train ride from Heathrow Airport and only about 15 minutes to Piccadilly Circus. I would definitely book this property for my clients as well as stay here again, myself.
